Well hello there adventure collector! I’m so pleased you stopped by to better understand the purpose of this project. I’ll try to keep concise, but be forewarned: I want you to participate. So I’m going to do everything in my power to motivate you to join this crazy cohort of explorers and make the most of the year as you can.
That said, allow me a disclaimer. A year is a year is a year. If you stumble upon us today (presently January), or 7 months from now you may still participate! Massage this into whatever you want it to be. The reason I implore you to commit to an adventure a week is not to generate hits to the site, or create some mass effect. Rather, I want you to anticipate, celebrate and lose your mind over the many possibilities (all within your reach) for the coming weeks-months-year. You can have the fiscal year of 52 adventures, or the month of 4, or for you zany thrill seekers a day of 24. There is no limit to what you are capable of. So go on now. Make a list you would otherwise not make and get the blood pumping in anticipation of all the fun to come!
All told, some adventures will be thrilling. Some will be quiet. Others heart wrenching. While an adventure is an adventure, know this: the purpose is not to risk your life. It’s to encourage you to do things you otherwise wouldn’t do. And, better yet, to do things you’ve always wanted to do. We’re also here to give credence to the many adventures you partake in daily that you don’t otherwise recognize. It’s important to be cognizant of how unique and inspiring you are. So, do me a favor and let us all know. That way everyone wins.
I devised this concept years ago but didn’t have the will power to follow through. Odd, as I find myself totally absorbed and dedicated to this project in the thick of pursuing a masters degree and holding 2 jobs. No matter! I stand behind and believe in this. I have only ever wanted to be a social agent, and I think we all can in instilling hope in those you agree to let loose and adventure on. And I know you can do it. Because you can and you will.
So thanks for stopping by Club 52. I hope you agree to join us. Post a little. Post a lot. I’m cheering you on all the while.

Wow, I absolutely LOVE this idea of adventures! I am truly an adventurer thru-n-thru. My latest undertaking has been skydiving, and I suggest you try to add this to your list of musts, maybe squeeze it in as a bonus adventure. I made my first tandem jump, was immediately hooked, and a year later earned my license to jump solo. It is the most incredibly liberating experience I have ever had the pleasure to participate in. Not many people have the courage to make that jump, but I promise you that it is worth every single second. It opened up my mind and heart and now I really do live one minute at a time (one minute is your freefall time, with 5 minutes under canopy). Really, please try this!

OK I love this idea! You captured my attention with the title and found myself captivated with such an endeavor. I love taking classes. Studying till 1:30 in the morning seems to have such an effect on my well being, in a good way! Imagine that at my age. I just finished challenging myself about learning how to complete personal Income Tax. It took 69 hours of theories and software. Honestly? I was in a world of being “LOST” but enjoyed finding my way around this so called tax laws and rules!
So does this type of challenges counts as an adventure?
Thanks for this site. Your forever reader.
Best Regards,
